I’m an artist, writer and designer. My essays and poetry have been published widely in literary journals and, although I am mostly a short-form writer, I’ve also written and edited a couple of books. My pictures have been included in several exhibitions. I have worked as a designer on many international projects from theatre sets to animated shorts. I founded and was the original prose editor of Zoomorphic magazine which I still occasionally contribute to and art direct.
I’ve been living in a house overlooking the Black Mountains of Wales for the past 15 years, a land of ancient legends and ever-shifting light. It’s a place I have no plans to leave. I’m a lover of animals and have a particular passion for wolves after once coming face-to-face with one in a remote forest, an occurrence which, I’m told, is very rare indeed. I still believe this to be one of the most profound experiences of my life. When not running around after my two boys I am mainly out walking with a notebook, camera and Indy the inexhaustible dog.
