Running Wolf

Running Wolf was painted in August 2024, the largest painting I’ve completed to date. It reproduces very well as a print, particularly at A3 size. Anyone who has read my stories knows about my passion for wolves, after a face-to-face encounter with one on a remote forest track in Canada.

“My artworks are a response to the movement of the wild, the endless transitions, the appearances and disappearances of forms, the half seen and half lit.  Ancient Chinese poets believed that the world, the ten thousand things, appeared out of nothing, danced for a while, then returned to where they came from, to emerge later in other forms. It is the perfect way to think about nature, and about art.”

Printed on Hahnemühle Durer fine art, pure white paper, 210gsm.
