The Lion, the Wolf, and the Curlew

One of three prints in an edition of artworks created for my book Two Lights. “My artworks are a response to the movement of the wild, the endless transitions, the appearances and disappearances of forms, the half seen and half lit.  Ancient Chinese poets believed that the world, the ten thousand things, appeared out of nothing, danced for a while, then returned to where they came from, to emerge later in other forms. It is the perfect way to think about nature, and about art.”

A giclée print from an original ink and salt drawing by James Roberts
